The marshland alcove

At Paleospace you can find out all about coastal marshland, and its fauna and flora by visiting a “gabion” hut where you can smell aquatic mint, touch the skin of a coypu… and watch the birds and insects…

The 110 hectares of coastal marshland represents the only natural open space on The Fleurie Coast. Despite its proximity to the sea, it is in fact a freshwater marsh fed by water courses which come from the surrounding hills.
